Champions League Update (Atletico vs. Real Madrid Prediction)

I’m going to take a leap of faith here and predict Atletico will win 2-1. I think, even though Atletico Madrid has lost key player Diego Costa, they still have a stacked midfield compared to Real. However, Real Madrid is pretty old. I think this will be a close one that can go either way.

Cavs Epic Fail! (Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Boston Celtics)

The Cavaliers didn’t play LeBron or Kyrie Irving, and thus, they lost to the Celtics, 117-78. This is a big step in the Celtics drive to the playoffs. The two biggest factors in this game were the turnovers, with the Cavaliers turning the ball over 24 times, and the Celtics only 7 times. The other one was  the second quarter, seeing the Celtics score 34 points and the Cavs score only 9! The leading scorer was Isaiah Thomas, with 17 points. He also led the assists category with 6 assists.

Live Yankees vs. Red Sox Update

Hi! I’m watching the Yankees-Red Sox game right now and I’m so upset. As a big BoSox fan, the 7-0 score is killing me. And it’s only bottom of the second. A-Rod already has scored a 3-run double. My fantasy baseball team further complicates things because I’m behind in my head-to-head matchup by 1 HR and 2 RBI. My only player still playing is Brian McCann, so I’m hoping that he hits a homer and drives in 2 runs, at the same time, I also wish the Yankees lose. I’m STUCK.

Chile vs. Spain

My predicted outcome: Chile 2-0 Spain

WOAH! Just WOW! WOW, WOW, WOW!!!!!! Reigning champions Spain knocked out in the group stage! Props to Chile for an AMAZING performance.

At 40′ , Spain’s midfielder Xabi Alonso gets a yellow card for a foul on Mauricio Isla. Then, at 43′, Chile’s midfielder, Charles Aranguiz gets a goal. Brazil vs. Mexico

My predicted outcome: Brazil 3-1 Mexico
Real outcome: Brazil 0-0 Mexico

I just want to say wow. Impressive. A scoreless game between Brazil and Mexico. But I guess when you look at it, it makes sense. A lot of sense. Two evenly matched teams on the pitch together, both with amazing keepers

Overview: Nothing happened until 45′, when Brazilian midfielder, number 16, Ramires, received a yellow card for fouling Aguilar. Then comes halftime. 1 minute after halftime, 46 minutes,  previously booked midfielder, Ramires, comes out for forward/midfielder, Bernard. At 59′ Mexican defender Paul Aguilar gets a yellow card. 3 minutes later, at  62′, Mexico’s midfielder, Jose Juan Vazquez, is given the yellow for a foul on Neymar. Then, at 68′, Brazil takes out forward, Fred, and brings in Atletico Mineiro’s Jo. At 74′ minutes, Mexico takes out forward Oribe Peralta, and brings in 26-year-old, Javier Hernandez, also known as Chicharito. 2 minutes later, the Mexican side swaps Hector Herrera for midfielder Marco Fabian. At 79′, Brazil’s captain, Thiago Silva, receives a yellow card for a foul committed on Hernandez. At 84′ both sides make a swap. For Mexico, forward Raul Jimenez comes in for Giovani Dos Santos. For Brazil, midfielder Willian comes in for Oscar.

Official Man of the Match: Guillermo Ochoa (MEX)

My MOTM: Guillermo Ochoa
